Ethics and Law in Practice

Presented by Eric Strom, Attorney at Law, LMHC

Mental health practitioners are frequently challenged to "do the right thing" within the parameters of ethical and legal practice.  For some, this includes a "fear factor" of legal repercussions or the loss of a license.  Ethics and law are not synonymous terms, however there is frequently cross-over of intent and application of each.

This seminar will review ethics and laws most commonly problematic for the practitioner.  In addition, the content will include numerous real case scenarios for participants to analyze, discuss and apply ethical decision-making processes.  The seminar is designed to be interactive and participants are encouraged to ask questions regarding issues they have experienced.
