In person-How to pass the NCMHCE Test-only $199.00!

Presented and developed by Lisa Mayfield, MA, LMHC

This one-day licensure preparation course covers the crucial content and test-taking strategies for the NCMHCE examination. Lisa Mayfield developed this course after studying for the test herself back in 2003 and discovering that if you just know where to focus your studies you can pass the examination with "ease and confidence". Since that time she has helped hundreds of mental health counselors pass the exam with over a 89% pass rate on the first attempt.

This course covers:

  • Mastering the examination format
  • Assessment
  • Diagnosis (review of the entire DSM-IV-TR)
  • Treatment (with case review)
  • Test taking strategies
  • Additional questions to expect

"This course is extremely well organized and includes so many helpful handouts"
"Your class got me going and focused"
"Thank you!  I do feel that you covered the bases well.  Your DSM overview was a life-saver"
"Everything you said to study, I studied...and it was on the test....and I passed!"
"I took the NCMHCE yesterday, and passed with flying colors.  Everything was as you advised in class, and I"m glad I listened.  Thanks again, I'm sooo glad I took your class."

Attendees receive a handout of materials, along with a thumb drive loaded with helpful articles and links to help with your study process. Also included is the NCMHCE clinical simulation self-assessment examination published by NBCC. We'll do one of the workbook practice exam questions together in class, the remaining are to help you become more familiar with the specific problem types that comprise the NCMHCE exam.

The Licensure Preparation course is a day packed full of useful information to calm your pre-test anxiety. It also gives you the chance to meet other test takers with the opportunity to find a study buddy or two.

Participants who pass the NCMHCE examination receive a free six month membership with the Washington Mental Health Counselor's Association (WHMCA)
